Establish your "Betting Bank"
Your betting bank is a sum of money that you will put aside for your betting. You should choose a figure that:
- You do not need for any other purpose.
- Professionals NEVER bet with money that they cannot afford to lose.

Follow a consistent staking plan.
In betting, be it backing or laying a horse in a particular race, one of the most important component of it will
be the staking plan.
A bet without a plan in mind is like gambling without an aim. In other words, it is turning your method of
betting into a system. It is only with a system in place then that we can talk about making consistent profit
month after month.
The most straightforward staking plan is to divide your total bank into a number of equal parts (points) and to commit one point per bet.
We recommend a 50 point bank.
Example:
If you have a £1000 betting bank, divide this by 50 which is £20.00. So you now have 50 points at £20.00. For each selection lay a stake of one point (£20.00).
Let's say at the end of a week your bank has grown to £1220. Divide your bank by 50 (£1220 / 50 = £24.40). Your new stake of one point is now £24.40 per selection for the next week.
You may choose to do this weekly or monthly.
You decide on your own risk tolerance but always remember to keep your total bank size comfortable for you.

Bet without emotion.
Accept that you will occasionally experience losses.
Understand that losses will be outweighed by gains in the long term.
When you lose forget it. You are just lending the bookmaker money that you will shortly recoup with interest.
Once you have established your betting bank do not regard this as money. It becomes instead a tool of your trade and investment strategy.
